When you despatch a job to a driver in the Control Centre, a message containing
all the necessary information about that job is automatically formatted and sent out
via TSLGateway to the appropriate provider, who pass it on to the intended
PDA.
Automatic acknowledgement comes back from the provider, via TSLGateway into the
Control Centre, so you can see that the job details have been received.
The driver then updates the status of the job as he goes along, from acceptance to
arrival to pickup to drop, including a printed name and captured signature on
completion.
Other features include notifying waiting time and ETA, cancelling or updating jobs,
though some of these features vary from provider to provider.
Available as an additional feature is the ability to track the drivers using GPS and
see their current position on a map.
