Many phone systems nowadays have Caller Id functionality either built in or available, but to really take advantage of such technology you need to integrate it into your booking system. Using TSLGateway we have been able to succesfully integrate with some phone systems (unfortunately they are not all the same) to provide a platform for identifying customers from their phone numbers, so that you are immediately in a position to create a booking or look up extisting jobs when you pick up the phone.

How does it work? When the phone rings, the phone system or caller id device provides the phone number (and any other available information, such as line number) to TSLGateway which we can adapt for different models of phone system*. TSLGateway passes this data to the Control Centre which then uses the phone number to identify the account, department or individual who is calling. A summarised display of the caller's details pops up on the screen, so you know who you are dealing with before you pick up the phone, all you have to find out is what they want! * We cannot, of course, guarantee to provide integration with all phone systems - some do not have any capability for integration with external devices or software. Some may require some fairly expensive add-ons or software from the manufactirer to provide this functionality.
