If you have just 2 computers running Microsoft WindowsTM, and they are
not already networked, you can network them together (provided they both have a
network adapter) with a single
cross-over network cable without the need for
any further equipment.
To network 3 or more computers together you need to connect them using a
network switch or hub.
Depending on the number of computers you want accessing the Control Centre, you may
need a dedicated server network, or a
peer-to-peer network may be adequate.
Most printers are suitable - certainly any that are Microsoft WindowsTM
compatible should function with the Control Centre. The main issues when selecting a
printer are the amount of pages you print, speed of printing and whether you want to print
in black & white or colour.
An internet connection is required in order to provide you with remote
Technical Support and
Training.
Broadband (ADSL) is preferable for greater speed, but a dial-up connection will suffice.
You do not necessarily need an always-on internet connection to use the Control Centre
unless you wish to use either of our add-on products, CCOnline
or TSLGateway.
